The test measures all 11 fatty acids as a percentage of total fatty acids, plus 6 calculated health markers.

  • Palmitic acid (C16:0) — Saturated fat. Assessed in the context of cell membrane rigidity.
  • Stearic acid (C18:0) — Saturated fat. Used to calculate cell membrane fluidity.
  • Oleic acid (C18:1, Omega-9) — Monounsaturated fat with heart-protective effects when in balance.
  • Linoleic acid (C18:2, Omega-6) — The most abundant Omega-6 in the diet. High intake linked to pro-inflammatory states.
  • Alpha-linolenic acid (C18:3, Omega-3) — Plant-based Omega-3, precursor to EPA and DHA.
  • Gamma-linolenic acid (C18:3, Omega-6) — Omega-6 with some anti-inflammatory properties when in balance.
  • DGLA (C20:3, Omega-6) — Used to calculate Omega-6 ratio and Protection Value.
  • Arachidonic acid / AA (C20:4, Omega-6) — Most important Omega-6 for the body. Key driver of inflammation. Optimal range: 6.5–9.5%.
  • EPA (C20:5, Omega-3) — Primary anti-inflammatory Omega-3. Dominant in blood, muscles and tissues.
  • DPA (C22:5, Omega-3) — Intermediate Omega-3 between EPA and DHA.
  • DHA (C22:6, Omega-3) — Essential for brain, heart and eye health. Dominant structural fat in the brain.

Six health markers are calculated from these values: Omega-3 Index · Omega-6:3 Balance · Protection Value · Cell Membrane Fluidity · Mental Strength · AA Index.
