Total Testosterone – Measures the total amount of testosterone in your blood, essential for assessing hormone balance, energy, and vitality.
Free Testosterone – Represents the active form of testosterone available for your body to use, influencing mood, muscle mass, and libido.
Free Androgen Index (FAI) – Indicates the balance between total testosterone and SHBG, helping assess whether enough testosterone is available for use.
Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG) – A protein that binds to testosterone and controls how much is freely available to the body.

Take your sample in the morning, ideally between 7–10 AM, when testosterone levels are highest.
Fasting is not required – you can eat and drink as usual unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
If you take hormone-related medication, steroids, or biotin supplements, speak to your GP before testing, as these may affect results.
Avoid intense exercise and alcohol for 24 hours before taking your sample.
Take your sample between Monday and Thursday to prevent postal delays over the weekend.
